Our Story
David Steenkamp discovered his calling teaching English in Poland. After earning his degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2008, working in the UK from 2008-2012, he relocated to Warsaw with his Polish wife Ania in 2013.
Today, EnglishDave.PL operates from Łódź with a team of South African teachers, emphasizing a team-based approach rather than single-instructor relationships.
Our Philosophy
Regardless of your level — A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 — you can be effective in English. You can stop being too critical of yourself. You can enjoy speaking English.
David's father spent 30 years as an educator. That same passion drives EnglishDave — helping students overcome self-criticism through small talk, jokes, storytelling, and career development.
